smile in an infinite darkness

When lines are erased and there’s no more smiles
Where lines are crossed and smiles are broken
And there’s shattered dreams thrown across the stars
And breath falls so heavy on a battered chest

There is no light but a ray that comes from a broken star
That glimmers against the million tears that fall
And when there is  more blood to be shed
And it comes from it owner draw and spilt like a waterfall

When the end is near and all hope is lost fear is felt
The love is gone and the despair has risen above all else
And nothing will ever be the same except the pain
And you wonder whether the scars are permanent

But in a glimmer  of hope the hurt stops for an instant
And the star is one again and light fills your world
And when there are only tears of happiness
Is when you have truly made it through
